ARKANSAS YOUTH PAINTBALL (AYP) FAQS

WHAT IS A DAY LIKE ON AN ARKANSAS YOUTH PAINTBALL WEEKEND?

An AYP staff member will meet with all children and parents in front of the Action Town Park building.  Expect approximately 3 hours from registration to completion.  All waivers, registration and rental gear will happen through Action Town Park.  AYP staff will spend 10-15 minutes giving lessons on paintball basics not covered by the Action Town Park safety brief.  After paintball basics we will play as many games as we can until children are out of paintballs or we run out of time.

IS ARKANSAS YOUTH PAINTBALL RUN BY ACTION TOWN PARK?

AYP is organized and structured by Darran McEuen and Andrew Wyatt.  Action Town Park is the only field in central Arkansas that fits our needs for group size and educational goals.

CAN I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?

Any equipment you bring will need to meet the safety and field standards of Action Town Park.  There is usually a cost associated with bringing your own gear.
Shooting above field speed and in any electronic mode other than semi-auto LIMITED to 5.5 balls per second is not allowed within AYP.  These settings mimic normal mechanical rental equipment. Anyone not following these rules will be asked not to play with the group.

HOW OFTEN DOES AYP GET TOGETHER?

AYP plans out up to 6 events a year.  Most events will be on Saturdays.  Check the Home page for tentative and final scheduling.

IS THERE A COST ASSOCIATED WITH ARKANSAS YOUTH PAINTBALL?

There is no additional cost to join us for AYP weekends.  Darran and Andrew organize and run AYP weekends free of charge.
The only cost to join is the normal cost to play out at Action Town Park.  Visit https://action-town-park.square.site/ for pricing.

IS THERE A COMPETITION TEAM FOR AYP?

AYP is about children 9-16 years old getting outside and having a great time with friends, family and other girls and boys near their age.  We discovered at our first event, there are plenty of 9 year-olds that can handle it.  We also found that there are quite of few 16 year-olds that have younger siblings that want to play.  It is not meant to have the feel of a tournament style sports club.

The Murder Hornets is the competition team through AYP.  We currently have 14 on the roster and schedule practice once a month at a minimum.

CAN I DROP OFF MY CHILD WITH AYP?

Age limit rules and parental custodian rules of Action Town Park must be followed.  It is highly recommended (and encouraged) that parents play with their children the first time they try out paintball.
AYP is not responsible for any personal items.  There are small lockers that personal items can be stored in if you bring your own lock.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD THAT DAY?

If Action Town Park is open, we will be there.  Sometimes, the weather can make it even more memorable.
